Gray Landscapes

I wander through rainless intersections
As civilisations' tears are all dried out
Clenching at hope, and cursing at revenge
Of the players down below and up above

Angels and Demons tend to forget their desires
In this twisted power play through the pyres

Watching the sun burn on to gray landscapes

Paving the way for a new order to take flight

Let us pray for it to rain for 40 days

To end all the suffering and strife

To wash the ashes to cleanse the wastes
Of the rotten flesh and the broken bones of my life

Angels and Demons tend to forget their desires

In this twisted power play through the endless pyres

Watching the sun burn on to gray landscapes
Paving the way for a new order to take flight
